About Simply Censor
Most censoring tools are video editors that happen to include a blur tool. Simply Censor is the opposite: it does one job, and the whole app is built around finishing that job fast. Open a photo or video, cover what shouldn't be seen, export. That's the entire workflow.
There's no timeline to scrub, no layer stack, no keyframes, no project files, and nothing to learn before your first export. On-device detection finds the faces for you and picks a safe default, so in most cases you just confirm and hit export. If something gets missed, drop a box over it and you're done.
No account, no cloud upload, no watermark, no subscription. Your original file is never touched — you always get a new copy.
Simply Censor or BlurCut?
Kronware makes two apps that can censor faces. They're built for very different jobs.
Use Simply Censor when
- You just need a face, plate, address, or background hidden before you post
- You want it done in a few taps without learning an editor
- You don't want to trim, crop, filter, or arrange anything
Use BlurCut when
- You're actually editing the video, not just cleaning it up
- You need object tracking across a moving clip
- You want trimming, cropping, filters, and overlays in the same pass

Privacy & Data Safety
All censoring, face detection, and foreground segmentation runs on your device. Photos and videos are never uploaded, and the app works with no network connection at all. Simply Censor uses Android's system media picker, so it never needs broad access to your photo library.
